How to Find a Great Plumbing Business in Long Island
It's easy to take things like running water or working drains for granted. Right up until life throws a wrench at you and they break, that is. However, all it takes to get everything back in order is the service of a licensed plumber. Here at 1-800-Plumber +AIR of Long Island, we can handle your urgent plumbing needs as they arise.
How to Find a Great Long Island Plumbing Technician
Finding a local plumbing company on Long Island can be as easy as searching the White Pages or for better yet, Google. Nevertheless, that won't be enough to ensure you are getting the best company.
You will need to understand how to determine plumbing business. Customer evaluations can be beneficial and an indication of the top quality of services, yet you should never only trust these reviews. Always make sure to ask the right questions and verify that you have the right plumber for the job.
What to Ask a Plumber
Is Your Licensing Up to Date?
Many people assume as a courtesy that a plumber is licensed, but this isn't always the case. Some people offer their services despite lacking proper licensing or failing to update their license with a local agency. The risk you take in working with an unlicensed plumber is that their work may not be up to code. Since you chose to work with them, you may be liable for any deficiencies in their work. Not to mention the risks involved in trusting your home to someone without the proper qualifications! So always ask a plumber for proof that their licensing is up-to-date, and if they refuse, look elsewhere.
Are You Doing the Work?
This question ties into the first one; sometimes, a master plumber will rely on a team of laborers. While it's fine for a licensed plumber to have assistance from laborers, work on water and electrical systems must be only performed by experts. A plumber having up-to-date licensing won't do you any good if he's delegating these important tasks to people who aren't! Ask the plumber who provides your price estimate and displays his credentials if he's doing the work, and if he isn't, inquire about the experience and licensing of the plumber who is. If the plumber cannot provide accurate, detailed answers to these questions, then look for a different plumber.
What Will This Cost?
While many plumbers will provide a free estimate before performing a job, this is not binding. Contracts often include clauses that the property owner will pay for any expenses necessary to complete the job. This could mean that when the plumber needs to buy extra materials or spend more time than expected to complete the job, you'll be left footing the bill. This doesn't necessarily mean the services aren't worth it, but you should always make sure you have a good idea of what the job will cost. Ask if the charge is a flat rate, or a flat rate plus an hourly fee and what the estimate includes. Additionally, you should make sure you can get a list of materials used. This way, you can double-check with a local department store and ask if everything adds up. You should also request an estimate from three or more plumbers and see if they all match up or if one is suspiciously higher or lower than the others.
What Guarantees Do You Offer?
An important sign that a plumber believes in their work is whether or not they offer guarantees. The most confident plumbers will provide a written guarantee that they'll return and fix anything they've worked on in the next year or so. Others offer more specific, limited guarantees. This shouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker, so long as you find their terms fair. However, you should not rely on any plumber who refuses to give any written guarantees of this sort.

Joesph came out right on time. Showed me what my issue was, and told me my options (very professional). This company is fair and honest! They don't try to up sale or over price their product or service.. I highly recommend 1-800-Plumer of Pearland!! Go with these guys and you won't be disappointed!
Justin and Richard did a great job.
Nick was very nice, professional, and explained what he was going to do first and if we had to do something else we talked first. Nick knew his job. Great work. Appreciate you!
Enes provided a very thorough and professional inspection, assessment and proposal for my sewer drain replacement.
This was my first time with 1-800-Plumber Air of Pearland. I called with a minor issue with the dishwasher drain hose and asked that a tech be dispatched on Saturday so that I could be home from work. Chad was scheduled between 8am & 10am today (Sat) and arrived just before 9am. Chad was very knowledgeable and explained to me the entire process. He also answered my many many questions about what he was doing as he was doing it. I'm a smart guy but know very little about plumbing. I felt very comfortable with Chad doing the repair. The long and the short of it, 1-800-Plumber Air of Pearland has a new longtime customer and I will request that Chad be sent if possible the next time I have a plumbing issue.

Nice bunch of guys. Did what they said and did it very well. Explained everything and took extra pre cautions with the Virus outbreak.
Emanuel came out to inspect why our commode was not flushing properly. After an inspection he describer the options. Since the commode was over 40 years old we picked the option to replace the commode with a new one. He Asked several questions about what we would like and the showed us two options. We picked the one that we liked and he obtained the commode from the ware house and installed it the same afternoon.. He completed the installation and did a great clean up of the area and answered answered all of our questions. I fully recommend Emanuel and 1-800-Plumber of Pearland
I would like to recognize both Taylor and Emanuel for both outstanding customer service, professionalism, and craftsmanship on a recent repair at my home.
